The Sense of Feeling Good

New mown hay, ripened corn, blossom wafting on the breeze, old fashioned roses, lavender, fat ripe peaches and strawberries.

New born babies, fresh milled coffee, honeysuckle really sweet, laundry dried on a sunny day, the sea, and bluebells in woods sheltered from the heat.

Daffodils, cowslips and all the flowers of the spring, fields of sunflowers with big yellow faces nodding.
A bright coloured pheasant, lambs, and buzzards soaring high kittens and puppies, babies sleeping and a beautiful butterfly.
Cloud formations, valleys and green rolling hills Children playing, rustic cottages and ancient windmills.

Laughter from children and adults, a skylark, a blackbird, all the bird song.
Waves lapping the seashore, crickets, frogs, the sound of a horse as it clip clops along.

Church bells, Christmas carols, children singing, first words from baby.
Chickens clucking, ducks quacking, swallows chattering and a big humming bee.

A caress from a loved one, a toddler’s hand in yours, a baby’s skin.
Fondling a dog, or a cat, velvet, silk and satin.

A warm breeze on your face, warm sand in your toes, a nice shower on a hot day
Crisp clean sheets, a kiss, the snow, a cosy bed on which to lay.

Each day I think how lucky I am to have all my senses!
