Would you like to add a profile and cover image? It certainly livens up your profile.
Here is how.
- On the top navigation menu go to: Members > Your Profile
- Click “Change Profile Photo” or “Change Cover Photo”
- Drag and drop the photo from your computer into the space provided
Please note
Profile images size: Minimum of 150 x 150 pixels.
Profile cover size: Minimum of 940px wide, and 225px tall.I hope this helps.
11th April 2016 at 7:51 pm #5892As there are lot of lovely new people joining I thought I would bump this up to the top in case you would like to use a little picture instead of a little white blob
Why not a personal pic? – They are used all of the time on Face Book and elsewhere without too much trouble. Personal photos can be taken either from the side (profile) or other angles that are not face on – or half body type pics. I’d rather see a pic. of someone I talk to then an icon or avatar pic. It is easier to relate to a face than something else. imho.
Anonymous6th September 2016 at 5:36 pm #34719Prasanna, not all of us are willing to post our own faces on public forums – what if we get recognised out on the street?
There is also a guide to how to do it that I put up a while ago.
Anonymous6th September 2016 at 8:31 pm #34772Yes I agree it is a matter of personal choice, and it’s quite fun to try and work out the personality behind the “fun” picture. I wouldn’t want my ugly mug on there anyway, I hate any photo taken of me and certainly wouldn’t want to inflict on anyone! That’s not to say I don’t enjoy those who do choose to post a personal one.
Help,I have been trying for hours to put a picture on my profile.I load the picture from my I pad and crop the part I want to show .I am told it has been loaded successfully and when I look,it’s any part of the picture except the part I want.
Could it be a pixel problem,I can download them on facebook ok.What am I doing wrong please.

Anonymous7th August 2018 at 6:03 pm #400932Just bringing this topic back so I can put up the true size of @gormagon‘s new profile picture.
Great sentiments, though I must admit I thought the third line was going to read something like, “And if someone breaks your heart, you can count on me to bite them on the bum!”
