    Here’s much the same thing in a written format. These things happen in the brain in a thousandth of a second, but the images in the video and the descriptions in the article try to explain it in simplified terms; not easy, and the danger is that we get the idea totally wrong. For example, the description that “the virus writes down its instructions in RNA”, or something like that, creates a completely off-the-wall idea in my brain – these are just chemical and electrical reactions occurring, and we have no idea how.

    four-limbed animals so I assume they’re talking about dogs/cats/mice as well as humans. I hope the other animals aren’t blessed with the questioning, existentially aware type of consciousness that humans are

    Very interesting but how do you know that mice cannot remember what happened to them 24 hours before?
