    I received a phone call yesterday making an appointment for the assessor to inspect the damage to my floor on December 11th, almost 5 months after the incident. You couldn’t make this up!

    I have now made arrangements for all my insurances to be cancelled from groupama as soon as I receive my renewal notices which should have been delivered 15 days before the two month cancellation period. Of course they are late but I have 20 days from the date they arrive to cancel. I need to keep the envelope as proof of late delivery. my protection jurestique is standing by!

    If you are insured with this company, this is the sort of service you can expect when you try to make a claim.

    Two experts turned up on the 11th December, one from groupama and one from the water company. They agreed the claim there and then but still no money :unsure:

    Today I got a satisfaction questionaire from groupama about the way they have dealt with my claim. I enjoyed writing that a lot more than they will enjoy reading it and I didn’t swear once.  ;-)

    Well, I finally got paid :yahoo:

    It has taken two weeks short of six months since the incident. Now I have to hope that the only person I found who could repair my floor can fit me in to his busy schedule sometime soon.

    This has proved a very stressful and unnecesarily complicated battle with an insurance company who don’t give a sh*t about their customers. I gave their customer service a rating of 1/10 and they only got that because zero was not an option.

    Hopefully the repair will go smoothly and I can put this and the assurance company behind me.

    Onward and upward :yes:
