Dark chocolate, 70% and over, has proven health benefits. And one of the products mentioned in the link, theobromine, has been shown to improve the hardness of tooth enamel and reduce the risk of cavities.
Fortunately, a lot of high percentage dark chocolate is available here in France, so that’s good news.
Many of the so called ‘bad things’ are good for you in moderation. Guinness and red wine spring to mind.
Bought a tablet of Lindt 99% cocoa chocolate today. Once you open the packet there are eating instructions (truly!), saying you break of a small piece and let it melt on the tongue. Me, I stuck it to the roof of my mouth and let it dissolve there. But before the eating instructions, and after you’ve opened the packet, it says to prepare yourself for the 99% chocolate by starting with 75% then 80% – too late, you’ve bought the 99% and opened it now!
Make tons of chocolate mousse at Christmas for Number One Son ! 🍫🍫🍫🍫
Two squares of dark whole nut every evening for me, good for me or not, can’t take the milk, too sickly for me!
