Does anyone use Soficas for their “top up” insurance?  If so, are you having any difficulties contacting them.  I have been trying for the last two weeks.  No reply to emails, no answer when I phone them.  Getting really frustrated now.

That is a possibility i suppose but I would have thought someone would be there considering it is a fairly large organisation and even the Insurers themselves are not responding.

I am not sure Soficas is that large here in France. Anyway see their website for their explanation:
    http://www.soficas.fr/home/default.aspx

Some of you are already aware of the misfortune that has struck SOFICAS in the last few months.
Firstly, in March, Herve was injured and has been absent since.
We would like to thank those that regularly inquire about his condition.
We are all thinking of him and hope that he’ll be back soon.
Secondly, at the end of April, SOFICAS moved into bigger and better offices as we are getting ready to bring on new members of staff to continue giving the excellent services that you have all become accustomed to.
Unfortunately, as many of you have experienced recently, we are having tremendous telephone troubles due to a mistake made by ORANGE by issuing new numbers rather than transfering the old.
Once we know if we can maintain our existing numbers or not, we will officially correspond our new contact details.
In the meantime, here is our new office address:
    SOFICAS 6 rue Jean-Croix-Treyeran 33200 – BORDEAUX
Obviously, any post sent to the old address will be redirected for a couple of years.

Thank you Roger.  I did have that information when I received an email back in June regarding office move etc.  I have tried the phone numbers which are the same as you have quoted but to no avail.  I even tried emailing the person who I have dealt with in the past but still nothing.  I just seem to have come to a dead end.   Thanks for your trouble anyway.

Soficas are letting down their clients, making excuses when it comes down to health is just not on. Look elsewhere soon Sue.

I will be definitely looking for alternatives at the end of this year.  Not happy with Soficas now.  We should have been reimbursed around 600 Euros since early July and nothing is happening.  If it was in the UK I would just cancel my direct debit but as you probably know its not that easy here in France.  But certainly going with another company at renewal.
