Hello,
Would anyone be in a position to offer information on where to get forms or how to set up an Enduring (‘Lasting’ in France) Power of Attorney? This document is of vital importance, not only for the ageing but also for the young.
Thanks very much
Do you mean “tutelle” “curatelle”or “procuration”.To have the first two you get the forms from the Greffier du Tribunal d’Instance du departement where the person who has need of the help lives..The first two means that someone takes control of the life, if you like, because that person is no longer in control of their faculties. These are done before a judge and need to be prooved.
The third is done at the bank of the person invovled usually so that another person can sign their cheques.
Thank you very much for that information Flo – I think the ‘curatelle’ is the one we need – I will look into it further – thank you for giving me the direction.
