Have spent a lovely 50 minutes or so wandering around my favourite shop – Belasie in St Gregoire, Rennes.

I love browsing all the exotic goodies. Not that I know what half of them are  :-)

So now I’m stocked up on my spices, sauces, veggies  etc ready to get creative in the kitchen.

I love that shop too! Must go soon as we are getting low on spices and sauces. Yep, lots of strange exotic stuff too.

Moved from Brittany to Nouvelle Aquitaine and one of the things I miss is Rennes.Great shops especially Belaise.Big bunches of coriander for less than a Euro, instead of 20g for 1.45€ in the supermarket.

My favourite shop is Action, anyone know the shop? The one you have to take a basket when you arrive and take a carrier bag for when you leave  :yahoo:

So many bargains and good stuff too, nicely displayed (nothing nothing like Noz!), that’s just the worst jumble sale you could ever experience!!

Yes I bought coriander too, and Thai basil. It smells very fragrant in the kitchen at the moment.

Mine too Buddy – love the shop! Great for presents, household, stationery, and Mr. F. buys screws in there!

Belasie sounds wonderful – much too far unfortunately

or it might be Oranges and Lemons, a real HiFi store that has been a drain on my finances for nearly 20 years

Nice to see I’m not the only one to appreciate decent HiFi.  The fashion for compressed digital over-sanitised noise from a memory chip the size of a postage stamp leaves me cold.

Love belaise too – only live 25 mins away so can go often nbut tend to stock up and every few months.

Love Action too – get all toiletries there as so much cheaper than the supermarkets plus they sell bubble wrap which no other shop seems to sell.

Its next to Gifi which is also very cheap for various things.

I have some on line favourite shops too like the International Sheep Dog Society shop for all my Border Collie goodies and another is Border Fine Arts – most of my Border Collie and sheep figurines are from there.
