Hard to see the beauty of it in a pic. But in real life, I can see it is amazing. Well done clever clogs  ;-)

My daughter has copied the butterflies I have on a curtain and painted them onto the splashback tiles for me, all freehand and I’m thrilled with them

It looks lovely Fruitcake. What kind of paint did she used ? Because I did paint the tiles at the back of our stove, and I had to put them in the oven to make the paint settled (faience paint).

They’re paint pens Babeth ( she got them on the internet from China!) No need to bake as the proper faience paint has to be (just as well as the tiles were already on the wall!)

I spin as well danglydog.  My brother has alpacas, he lives in Australia.  Last time he came over he brought me a fleece. Still haven’t used it. But keep looking at the bag of fleece and thinking what to do with it after spinning.  The fleeces are a lot smaller than sheep.  Scarf and gloves perhaps??  Might get a waistcoat.

Good job he was coming this way Angela, they’re a bit funny about what goes into Australia, I guess coming out was okay. Does he only keep the Alpacas for their fleece? Once you’ve spun the fleece (very clever of you and danglydog!) do you dye it before knitting?

Epoxy resin would be an option guys,  but pretty expensive here.  But I will give it consideration. I would in any case make several pre emptive tries at doing it before going for the big tomale  ;-)   . But thanks for your thoughtful consideration.  Trouble is, I have incoming orders for such.  And as regards how I will benefit, think casks of Scottish finest water of life > Oh yeah, you know that would be the case don’ t ya  :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:

It does look dangerous, I’m not sure if I like the look of the finish it gives.   May be a darker colour would look better.

Spent the morning making a copper bonsai tree out of a length of earthing wire and a log. It now sits up on the table by henri da bench and friends. And those two window boxes are now insitu with some flowers to brighten up the place.

I love the copper tree, Gleaner, it’s fantastic, you’re a bit late this year for the Chelsea Flower Show, it’s just the sort of thing you would see there. The window boxes are very pretty too.
