Please do not fall over tigre, but….
Tonight I did a veggie meal!
Into Lidl to get chicken portions (and sausages).
Job done, bill paid and the Gaspillage had some left.
    One Euro.
Tomatoes, new potatoes, blueberries, apricots, asparagus, carrots and three fennel bulbs, an aubergine, four onions, two caulis and a lettuce.
So did a roastie of veg and then finished off in a sort of carbonara sauce.

But then I weakened and chucked in a few handfuls of ham.
Actually when I said ham, I meant Toulouse sausage.
    Sorry.

Stinky, I’ve been at the hospital nearly all day, being treated for shock!

Wow Stinky, have you finally been converted to the deliciousness of veg? :good:

I’m impressed Tigre, Stinky has been a tough nut to crack! :yahoo:

I know, Lippy, but will he slip back in to his old ways again? He can be a bit of a rascal, although a lovely one at that. I shall be keeping the breathing exercises up that the hospital has recommended for sudden shock syndrome for a while longer

Bravo Stinky and hurrey to Tigre ! I had the Lidl 1€ boxe on tuesday, with a kilo of walnuts, a melon, two bags of bio shallots, a bag of tree bio lemons (2 good ones), and a bag of endive (where I can’t see anything wrong with !).

I got a euro box today in which we had strawberries (enough good ones for a good dessert bowl full each after lunch plus a big bowl full for tomorrow) blueberries (only 2 bad ones) 5 x lettuces (needed trimming but all middles were good) 4 bunches of spring onions (once trimmed all good) 2 x nets of oranges (only 2 bad ones) a carton of cherry tomatoes (all good as far as I can see) and about a kilo + of vine tomatoes! So we’re all set up with salad and fruit!

They are good value, I can’t remember seeing them when we lived in France. I complained to the manager of our Tescos not long ago, the items that the sell by date were up on that day were reduced by about 30p, I said they should be at least half the price, if not more! It didn’t get me anywhere, bl**dy cheek!
