Can anyone help me please .My husband and I moved back to UK on April 30th. We have now had our revenus / income tax form from France to complete. I am trying to do it on line but having problems on the site. Our household is me and my husband. I went into particular section but can only find one space to fill in declarant 1  not another place for mine. Maybe I am in the wrong place on the website. I am also not sure if I should be in the etranger part ot French resident which we were for four months only in 2018. The impot have sent the notification to our new UK address. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Rita

Rita, have you filled in French tax forms before? If yes, and your income for the four month period hasn’t changed, just copy from your last tax declarations, but obviously only submit four months worth of income Jan- April 2018 as French residents, it’s highly unlikely that you’ll owe any tax for such a short period. If on- line is proving too difficult, print off the relevant tax forms and send them back by registered post, that’s what we did when we moved back.

Thanks Tigre. I am finding it difficult on line so will do as you advised and I will just print the forms off. Income about the same as last year. We will  not owe any  tax. Thank goodness that will be the last tax form in France. We will now be back in UK system.

It cost us about £6 to register and track ours, but it was the last one, as you say, and worth it. :good:

Deboer, it’s irrelevant in this case when I returned to the UK, if Rita copies from her last tax declaration, obviously if her income is the same and the forms are in the same format, I’m sure the French tax office will except it if it’s posted to them.

You are of course completely correct and I am sure that Rita will be happy to use your knowledge to fill in her French tax report even if you had left France in 1950 ? :-))

Yes, tried it too, and this is the message I get. What is written on your taxe déclaration Rita ?

What is the number of your declaration (the basic one, you find the number top left, on top of cerfa exemple : 2042K)

You should have a “date lime” Internet and Papier.

I didn’t receive anything yet as it is a bit early in the year.

    Hi All

I am just about to complete my French Tax forms online, but I do not understand the gist of one part which is

“Affiliation regime securite social dans l’EEE ou en Suisse’

I receive benefit from the United Kingdom and am therefore not reliant on the French social security.  I have my mutuelle on place here as well.  I am not sure whether I should tick the box or not, as I don’t understand the question, despite the fact that I have tried Google Translate!

If anyone knows the answer to this, I would be most grateful for your response.

    Regards

Do not confuse “securité sociale” which is the french healthcare system with “social security” in the uk ie the benefit system. The question is trying to establish whether you as a French resident is covered by healthcare provided by another EU state eg you have an S1 or you are a cross border worker
