Fair old trip though S, it amazes me, what has been achieved in Space travel, in my short lifetime, I had a book, when I was a kid, in it Werner von Braun was quoted as stating,

“It will never be possible to escape Earths gravity”.

    It is though. :-)

All very clever indeed but at what cost.     Something to think about while watching the little black kids on the telly with the voiceover begging for donations.

If it hadn’t been for exploration Shape’, we wouldn’t even know about the poor Wee souls now,

    exploration, and exploitation,

    not getting into that argument,

though, I very much appreciate, they are connected

I understand your comment very much Shapeshifter, I often think along the same lines, with a lot of things. The world is indeed unfair, unequal and full of greed, and unbalanced!  As always too few have all the money, too many have nothing!  Too many eat high cost meals, £100/£200 for dinner! Whilst lots more eat a biscuit and filthy water. We have a person, who is a fat man, throwing bombs around, Why? Whilst his people are eating very little. We have people spending millions on yachts, champagne etc, do they feel guilty , I don’t suppose they do. We have footballers earning thousands a Week! I remember when managers earned £20 per week ! Crazy world !  But go back in history we have exactly the same with the Lords and the serfs! We have been to the moon but we are still in the dark ages with equality .

We’ve been throwing money at the “little black kids” for as long as I can remember, all to no avail. Love the thought of space travel and wish I wasn’t an overweight septaugenerian with no chance of having a go at it. Beam me up Scotty!

To no avail because the money ends up in the Swiss accounts of the corrupt leaders of those countries while the charitable organisations get caught with their hands in the till taking admin. fees.

    The whole system sucks. :negative:
