Well done Crystal Palace for stuffing Manchester City 2-3! Our son, Fred, a Liverpool supporter is over the moon! Still very nervous about the time tagged on to the end of games. Where did the  4 minutes come from? Finished up 5+ minutes.

I’m baffled,  how did the title “john’s team” come in to this?

Man City and Chelsea losing makes it even better for the mighty Spurs, as long as they stuff the Toffees tomorrow.

fantastic game & great Townsend Goal :good: .

Games like that come very rare for us Palace fans , the last great game was  1990 when Crystal Palace took on Liverpool in the FA Cup semi-final at Villa Park and we won 4-3.

sad that the Palace Ultras were not allowed the giant flags into the ground.

    Christmas has come early :yahoo:

Now for the relegation battle in the new year

That Townsend goal was well worth the admission money on its own.

On another note, I had the pleasure of meeting Roy Hodgson during the time he was the England boss. We were in a restaurant for lunch with friends and he was at the next table with his wife. At the end of the lunch I congratulated him for his unbeaten qualifying record for the Europeans. this lead to 15 minutes of amicable discussion on football. He has a terrific CV in soccer, I don’t see the Palace going down, especially after yesterdays display.

He has a great cv with success in Switzeland and Sweden if I recall. I can’t imaging a Hodgson team getting relegated. The football isn’t always pretty under him  but they don’t often end up going down.
