Chatting with a friend this morning about lavender plants, where to get them and how much they cost. The main garden centres have them of course but quite pricey. Can anyone recommened off the beaten track plant nurseries around the Pontivy/Loudeac area?
Anonymous15th April 2018 at 11:01 am #380512WP, a friend of ours is a small scale grower between Rostrenen and Pontivy, not far from a place called Gouriec. I think she has some. She is today standing in the rain at a Vide- Grenier. I can ring her later if you wish and pass on her details to you?
I quite like the nursery at Plussulien; there’s a big poltunnel-type structure out the back open in spring with young plants in. you access it by going through what looks like a small staff door at the back of the main shop and crossing a lane. also on the way to Plussulien from Laniscat there’s a hand-painted sign saying Fleurs on the left and I’ve heard tell that it’s very good though haven’t called in yet

Anonymous21st April 2018 at 5:15 pm #382358The Loudéac Leclerc did have the 1,90 euro lavenders and very nice plants they are too! Brilliant value!
