Firstly apologies to all my lovely friends on here who have emailed and messaged me over the last month. I am so very sorry I haven’t got back to you, I don’t deserve you!

We completed on the apartment on Friday, but yesterday we had to say goodbye to our darling lil poochie Jack!

He had a mouth bleed which was diagnosed as a tumour, our Vet didn’t think his heart would hold out for an operation, plus she was sure it was malignant.

We had to make the heartbreaking decision  to part with our boy, who would have been 17 in July. He has been the best lil doggy, who remained loyal to his last breath!

We are totally devastated and feel like our hearts have been ripped out,

As soon as I can I will respond to you, sending love    :rose:

Oh I’m so sorry my dearest lady and your lovely OH. That is deverstating news, and I truely feel your pain. But your lovely Jack was filled with joy and happiness in his life, you both cared for him so much, and to live to 17 is an amazing tribute to your love and care for your lovely dog.  He was a great part of your adventure in France and also lived for a time in your new dream. Be brave my dear friend the pain, will lesson after a time and you will remember all the lovely, joyful exciting times you all had together, and continue to speak of him often. My thoughts are with you

So so sorry HJ he was a lovely, brave boy, to say goodbye at the right moment is the last kindness we can give our beloved pets, devastatingly hard as it is. He was able to share your new adventure with you and had a lovely life of love. All our thoughts (me &  Mr F) are with you xxx

That is truly very very sad. Robert and I both send you condolences. We remember when our little Chiico (Chihuahua) passed and like you say, one feels like one’s heart has been ripped out, 12 years ago now and we still miss him. Our pets are like our children. We believe, just like humans, an animal’s spirit lives on, just across that very narrow divide.  I am sure little Jack is still with you, but now without pain and without the encumbrance of his body is probably ‘flying’ about as well as running.  I have experienced life after death and I know it to be true.   😢    😪

So sorry for your news. I lost my little Bichon to cancer six months ago and I still miss him so much. Take comfort from his long life and that you did the right thing. Try to think of all the pleasure he gave you which will far outweigh the pain.

    Bon courage  John

Sending our heartfelt thanks to you wonderful people! Your words have been a great comfort to us, like warm toasty hugs.

We took our lil man to Penwith Pet Crematorium near Penzance today, a wonderfully tranquil place. We were treated with such kindness and empathy it made a very difficult day bearable.

We were left to say goodbye to Jack in a beautiful little candle lit chapel, and told to take as long as we needed. Richard the manager told us to return at 4pm, so we went to friends in St Buryan and we all toasted….our lil Jack!

We also took the ashes of Harry and Richard bless him put our boys together, the Dynamic Duo reunited.

We have decided to scatter their ashes at a rental property we all holidayed at 6 years ago in Flushing,it has its own private beach which they both adored. It is also just across the water from our new apartment so feels just right.

Thank you once again each and every one of you for well, just being you!

Sending our love and blessings ❤🐾❤

Thanks Blue, it was very precious. Although we are still devastated we also feel a great peace, knowing that our boys are together and probably causing mayhem!  :rose:     :rose:

What a special place that sounds HJ, you could do no more special a thing for your boys than to let them be together and it sounds a perfect place to scatter their ashes too, just across the water from you. As you say it’s still devastating but feeling a peace is going to help ease the pain a little. :rose:
