We watched this film recently and can thoroughly recommend it. It’s about the events leading up to the 2008 financial crash but don’t let that put you off! It’s a cracking, funny film and any explanation of any financial complexities are done in an entertaining way and in layman’s terms.
It will open your eyes to the corruption and fraudulent behavior the large financial institutions were and still allowed to get away with and how ordinary people’s taxes bailed them out both in the US and in Europe.
Ordinary people are still paying the price of this fiasco with austerity whilst the bankers got away Scott free and even used taxpayers money to ensure they still got their enormous bonuses.
