Good forecast for my holliday week. We’ve been to Branféré today, it’s an animal and botanic parc in Morbihan. I’m not normaly into zoos, in fact I dislike them a lot. We like this place because animals are not behind bars, and a lot of them can move where they want, included birds who don’t have their wings cut.

It was very quiet but muddy. I took those pictures today.

Thank you Flowergirl. I bought it in Darty in Redon, but I suppose you can find it else where as it is a well known model LUMIX DMC TZ70. It is not cheap for a pocket camera (250€ + the protection box), but I feel it worth it for me, for all the pleasure I get out of it.

I’ve just check on Darty, but it seems they don’t have it any more. They must sell a better one now, it a bit like everything else, out of fashion after 6 months ! But I’m sure you can find one else where.

Here is another pic I took this afternoon, this is the Nantes/Brest Canal, in front of Saint Perreux swamp, a bit ghostly.

Outhch ! Sharp indeed ! Don’t forget to eat a lot of calcium. I suppose you have a plaster some sort. How long will it take with not standing on on your foot ?

3 months so they reckon. Which is a real beeeeeach. I got logs to move, big logs. No plaster, just some hard support. Don’t want to hijack your thread babeth, so please continue to brighten my sofa bound day with fabulous shots of the incoming spring.

Hopefully Gleaner, it may not take quite as long to heal, try and rest it as much as possible.

Sorry you have an injury Gleaner, painful! Three months? That’s a bummer! As tigre says if you behave you never know it might be less. You certainly can’t be shifting logs!

Not quite up to Gleaner’s pain I’m sure, but I crushed my thumb at work yesterday, below shows the result today next to the other one. Amazing how awkward it is to be without a working thumb.

That must have hurt VK. Extremities are painful entities in their own right.

I must admit, that mine was caused by inattention and a besotted dog. Falling off the last step coming down to return a phone call and then hitting the deck wiv me ead, didn’t really help matters. Awakening to find I only had two border collies fussing over me to provide assistance and had to physically drag this beached cetacean like mass across the expanse of living room floor to reach the phone was an added pain in the right royal ass too.  But a quick phone call to my dearest and dearest and 6 hours later all was sorted. Currently sat here awaiting  the nurse to turn up on this frosty morning.

Happy to hear you are free and clear and devoid of encumbrances though Marmite. Enjoy your spring, it is here I am sure.

I can ignore my thumb if I don’t put any pressure on it, Gleaner, but your foot, with such an obvious break in the toe, is much more debilitating. Chances are I will lose the nail once it turns black and the new one grows underneath.

Tell me about it. I have crutches, but heaving myself around and doing the simplest task is frustrating and more often than not painful.

The thing was, the last thing I was aware of was actually hearing my foot crack as I went down. :negative:

Oh dear Gleaner, that is a shame.  I did exactly the same bone about 6 years ago and it was blooming painful and took about 6 weeks for the swelling and pain to subside….feet up and watch the w&c  as it could cause another tumble if you have one to many.
    Best wishes…and get well soon.
