    I think attacks on a nation’s internet-providing satellites could be the basis of any future global warfare

    Satellites play only a tiny part in the world wide web. For any sort of 2 way communication they’re just too slow because of the distances involved and until someone finds a way to circumvent Mr Einstein’s law that ain’t going to change. Now knocking out the satellites used for navigation, that’d cause a few problems.
